I would say, just do it! don't be afraid, read lots of books about how
to organize yourself (you gonna need it) and go for it. Don't listen
to anyone else other than your own head. People always say that you
can't do things, when they aren't even trying. Do the opposite; be an
example and do it.

I can promise you: YOU WILL FAIL. A lot in fact. It is one of the best
thing that can happen to any of us. You will learn by mistake, and
that's terrific. Expect to fail, to have no incoming emails for
months. To be around at forums trying to pick up the famous "how do I
get a client" thread; eventually, once all that is past behind you,
the victory will be damn sweet.

GO FOR IT DAMN IT! the best thing ever!

Another comment. Today, I want to announce, I will be learning a new skill that will probably have an important impact in my design skill over time. I’m learning how to do illustrations and concept arts. My brother is one of the top artists right now in Buenos Aires (http://www.carloscabrera.com.ar), and I love his work. Since we where kids, I had the ability to draw, to illustrate.

I want to draw/paint! I was practicing with your brother's videos, but they were too advanced. His eye for color was far beyond anything I could emulate.

Now I doodle and I'm about to start taking a class.
